Hey everyone, and welcome to, I hate the sound of my own voice. I am your host, Mirissa, I'm 26 years old, my pronouns are she/her and I identify as an aromantic queerdo. If you have no idea what that means, this might be the podcast for you. And if you do know what that means or identify in a similar way, then this is definitely the podcast for you.
Starting this podcast is all about creating a space for people like me, an aromantic space, or as I like to call it, an aro-space. I couldn't find the representation I was truly looking for, whether that be in books, in film, in TV shows, or online. So, I decided to be my own representation and create this podcast to talk to my friends about things no one else seems to be talking about.
Oh, and you may be wondering, Mirissa, do you really hate the sound of your own voice? And the answer is yes, I absolutely hate it. It sounds atrocious to me in person and even worse on recordings, but it is what it is.
